Originally the Louisville Jail and later the Clay County Historical Society, this building is brimming with memories from days gone by. It houses books from the jail with inmate names, old jail keys, numerous items from the Clay County Records Department, early plat maps, and a very early county map. Many items date from the early 1800s to the mid-1900s, including a late 1800s piano, antique furniture pieces, a hit-and-miss buzz saw, glass fire grenades with cases, an Indian 18" stone plow, prehistoric horse teeth, early prints, posters, and local pictures. There are also many advertising signs and more, with over 500 incredible and unique items—many of which you may never see again! Don't miss a chance to own a piece of history.
